About Ursula Hackett

Ursula Hackett is a DPhil student in Politics at Harris Manchester College, Oxford. Her scholarly interests include US politics, federalism and intergovernmental relations, education policy and constitutional law, and her research explains variation between US states in the generosity of indirect public aid for religious schools. Currently she holds a two-term Stipendiary Lectureship at Christ Church, Oxford, where she teaches American and British politics and the Comparative Government Finals paper. She received her BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and her MPhil in Politics (Comparative Government) from the University of Oxford. A co-convener of the Rothermere American Institute Graduate Seminar series in Politics and International Relations, she is also a Governor of an Oxford primary school and a keen squash player at the University Club.
